Erika Winters, founder and principal of Erika Winters® Design, is a Mexican interior designer whose work spans residential, hospitality, and commercial environments, as well as furniture, lighting, and lifestyle collections. Throughout her career, she has developed a distinctive design language defined by materiality, craftsmanship, emotional connection, and a refined dialogue between contemporary, vintage, and historic references.

Her work is guided by an intuitive sensitivity to color, form, texture, and light. Rather than following trends, Winters creates layered, timeless spaces that reflect the lives, histories, and cultural identities of the people who inhabit them. She believes architecture and interior design should strengthen the relationship between people, place, and everyday life, transforming each project into a deeply personal and meaningful experience.

Winters received her academic training in interior and architectural design in Mexico City. She has taught architectural and interior design and has participated in lectures and workshops throughout her career. Her work has been featured in publications including Architectural Digest, Vogue, GloCal, Chic Haus, Habitat, Comex Trends, and Design Mexico, among others.

Luis Herrera is an architect with more than 25 years of professional experience, recognized for creating thoughtful architectural solutions that respond to each client's vision and the unique character of every site. His work spans residential, hospitality, commercial, retail, and institutional projects, combining conceptual clarity with technical excellence and meticulous execution.

 

As Principal Architect at Erika Winters® Design, Luis leads the firm's architectural development, project management, and construction coordination, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and integrity. Prior to joining the studio, he co-founded L Design + Build, where he directed the design and construction of luxury residences, apartment buildings, and hospitality projects, including five-star hotels in Veracruz, Mexico.

Luis earned his Bachelor of Architecture from the Southern California Institute of Architecture (SCI-Arc). He received the AIA Henry Adams Gold Medal for Excellence in Architecture and the New Jersey State Champion Award in Architectural Design and Drafting. Throughout his career, he has taught design studios at SCI-Arc and Woodbury University and has served as a guest critic at institutions including Columbia University, Pratt Institute, Rice University, Cal Poly Pomona, Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and Universidad Anáhuac in Mexico City.
