This project for a 10,000 sq. ft. corporate headquarters was conceived for a leading firm specializing in gas stations, convenience stores and car-washes. The design principle was to create contemporary and straightforward design spaces that would also be timeless, matching the company’s essence and operations. Our Italophile client’s refined and recherché tastes inspired us to create this workspace. For the lobby we used sophisticated materials such as marble, cherry wood and high-quality ceramics, combined with well-balanced lighting, an understated color palette for the walls, and Travertine marble floors. In the office area, two meeting rooms are equipped with the latest multimedia technologies. 

 

Several private offices and wooden cubicles are adapted for the complex operations connected with the company’s gas station business. A fully equipped kitchen is available for anyone wanting to eat a snack or take a break. The home-style design give workers an escape from work routines, in a space furnished with various tables for four people and high wooden stools. Behind the building we created a central courtyard inspired by northern Italy and with a touch of the French countryside, a little like how the term “jardin classique” is used exclusively for recreational gardens. We integrated the woody landscape into the garden by blending its lines and spaces together. A wall fountain attracts the eye at the point the employees’ rest area connects with the rest of the building and the surrounding area. The elegant and dynamic courtyard is defined by its blue tones, wall fountain, landscaping and the stone bench seats.  

 

The furniture was custom-designed using metal, wood and  French-style handcrafted tiles.  The fountains outside the building combine with the wall fountain in the rear courtyard.
